ABC Transport Plc began its journey in road passenger transportation on February 13, 1993, emerging as a division of Rapido Ventures with the aim of establishing a modern transportation system in Nigeria.

In March 2003, Capital Alliance Private Equity (CAPE) acquired a 30% stake in ABC Transport. This acquisition marked a significant shift, enabling Capital Alliance (Nigeria) to become key stakeholders and facilitating enhancements to the company’s operational framework for improved performance.

The company prides itself on offering luxury bus services that adhere to international standards of road transportation. Its offerings are tailored for sophisticated travelers who might typically prefer air travel.

ABC Transport's operations extend across Nigeria and beyond, utilizing state-of-the-art terminals equipped with comfortable lounges located in major cities such as Lagos (Jibowu & Amuwo-Odofin), Aba, Owerri, Port-Harcourt, Abuja, Enugu, Onitsha, Umuahia, Jos, Mbaise, Bolade, and even Accra in Ghana.

The company’s fleet is distinguished by its branding—buses are adorned with the Reindeer emblem. This choice was derived from an in-depth examination of the animal's characteristics; the Reindeer is recognized for its strength, swiftness, and social nature, moving harmoniously in herds.
